I’m teaching myself to use Illustrator again, & tonight I made this, which is a digi version of the cover of a zine I made about tamagotchis once. *proud* even tho it sux!

Hey guys so I finally got my alien paws on a copy of Illustrator & since I haven’t used it since uni I am trying to remember how-to-make-art-good. This is my first attempt at drawing something, and I wanted to share it so you can say something encouraging to me like “keep up the good work kid!” or “you have a beautiful body!” (jk, but that’s the scene this image is from, in Freaks & Geeks).

I finished this today & I’m heaps keen to show off this piece but it’s a gift for someone so I’ve had to queue it till it has been delivered just to be sure they don’t see it! 

I used gilding for the first time evs and obviously I’m not that good at it but I’m really pleased with how it turned out nonetheless. Gilding gives it this whole other dimension of shininess. 

Also this is similar (but more colourful) to another piece I am working on, so if you see me posting another artwork same theme that’s why.
